Benefits of Binchotan Charcoal - Charcoal making techniques had various uses several thousand years ago on the Asian continent. Charcoal making techniques have entered a new era and are known throughout the world. The process for making charcoal is classified into 2 groups, namely kuro zumi/black charcoal and shiro zumi/white charcoal or known as Binchotan Charcoal.
Black charcoal ignites easily with fire and produces enough heat to burn metal. It is made by burning wood with carbon at a temperature of 400 – 700 degrees Celsius.
White charcoal (Binchotan Charcoal) is made from bamboo which has a dense and hard density using a burning technique up to a temperature of +/- 1200 degrees Celsius with long burning to produce a white color. Then it is cooled with powder consisting of a mixture of mineral stones, sand, and so on.
